Stickam.com to Provide Live Streaming for NATPE’s Fifth Annual LATVFest

LATVFest is dedicated to bringing creative TV and digital content producers together with development executives, agents, advertising and brand executives, software solutions and technology and equipment providers. The event features speaking and participation by top executives from YouTube, Lionsgate, E! and more. By tuning in online, viewers can watch all the live action from keynote addresses, panels and key speaking sessions.
Winners of the second annual NextTV Competition, facilitated by Stickam.com, will be announced at a cocktail reception on Thursday, July 9, 2009. The contest seeks to discover the best pilot for a new Web series or best episode from an existing Internet show in seven categories: branded entertainment, comedy, documentary / news, drama, lifestyle / do-it-yourself, long form and reality / unscripted. Prizes include a six-month mentorship with a YouTube / Google development executive and producer, as well as the opportunity to co-produce a six-episode Web series on what’s happening in television and new media to play on the NATPE Web site, Stickam.com and NATPE’s YouTube Channel.

Annual Web Series Contest to Showcase and Honor Top Online Video Content
LOS ANGELES – May 6, 2009 – The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) has announced its second annual Next TV Competition leading up to the association’s annual LATVFest in July where the winners will be honored.
Facilitated by Stickam.com, the pioneer of live streaming video and the largest live community on the Internet, the contest seeks to discover the best pilot for a new Web series or best episode from an existing Internet show in seven categories: branded entertainment, comedy, documentary / news, drama, lifestyle / do-it-yourself, long form (sponsored by YouTube) and reality / unscripted. Prizes include a six-month mentorship with a YouTube / Google Development Executive and Producer and the opportunity to co-produce a six-episode Web series on what’s happening in television and new media, which will play on the NATPE Web site, Stickam.com, NATPE’s YouTube Channel and other video sharing outlets.
Contestants can register and upload their submissions at www.stickam.com/natpenexttv by Friday, May 15, 2009. Finalists will be selected by the public through ‘American Idol’-style live Internet shows with live voting on Stickam.com, in addition to a panel of esteemed judges. Once the competition is narrowed down to the finalists, winners will be determined in another live voting show on Stickam.com. NATPE will announce the category champions and one overall winner at a cocktail reception during LATVFest on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

We hope that everyone had a safe and pleasant holiday season. With just a few days into the new year, Stickam is revved up to bringing you compelling content for the weeks to come. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for the month ahead so stay tuned for more:

Today at 5pm PST, tune in to Aldo Vento’s weekly show with special guests, Kynt & Vyxsin, from the 12th season of the Emmy awarded reality series, The Amazing Race. Find what they’ve been up to and what life is like for this “Dating Goths” couple a year after competing on the show.
This Thursday and Friday (Jan. 8-9), the annual Consumer Electronics Show shifts into full gear with live coverage from TechZulu and G4 TV. Starting this Thursday and Friday for three hours G4 will be live at the Consumer Electronics Show which will feature two Stickam Virtual Audience segments per day where our viewers will be able to chat with our hosts about the tech and gadgets they are most excited to see. These shows will be airing from 3pm to 6pm PST both days. TechZulu will also stake their place at this year’s show as they go mobile with Stickam, broadcasting live from a Nokia cell phone.

On Saturday, Jan. 17, Sam Proof will be streaming his weekly video show, Failpire, live from the annual YouTube LA meet-up event.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 26, Stickam will be streaming the NATPE Market & Conference, NATPE’s biggest event of the year, a 4-day conference live from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.
