Stickam’s new Twitter chat feature released
Released today is our new Twitter chat function. Once you have entered your Twitter information here, every time you go live you will see a new Twitter chat box displayed on the right hand side of your host chat. Your viewers and friends will now have the option to chat with you here as well as in your Stickam chat room. Messages will appear instantly in your Twitter chat room.
When you join someone’s chatroom, if they have linked their Twitter account you will be able to choose between the “Stickam chat” and “Twitter chat” tabs.

im not sure what to think of this twitter chat function but as far as the no private thing goes, im all for it. hopefully this will slow down the online predators and fakes.

@null This sucks, and no private sucks. Twitter chat is pointless and updates ur Twitter while doing it with pointless spam at the end. I can open another window and chat to people.

I agree this No Private thing is stupid and the twitter thing is even dumber!

I never used the private option because I didn’t need to. But now that it is gone I don’t like not having it because sometimes I don’t wanna chat to the retarded strangers that enter my live. Once I had a total of 6,369 in my live. I don’t want that to happen again. That was just irritating and lagging like no other.
But as for twitter chat, Ive used twitter sincce 2007 and I don’t see how a chat of it is necessary. Why would I want to have that when the point of twitter is to say what you are doing. The fact that switching tabs erases everything is also very stupid.
I’m not impressed at all. I thought it was bad enough that I use a netbook and the ads are as huge as ever but this just makes me more annoyed.

I agree, the no private thing bothers me. Sometimes I only want to talk to certain people, and now I don’t have the option to do so. It’s not stickam’s fault if people do stupid things while private, so why must this effect everyone?

instead of all complaining that you can’t go private why don’t you set your sitckam settings to friends only and just clean out the people who aren’t your friends….

Personally I switched to ustream because of the whole twitter thing
but honestly I like stickam way better
I think it would be smarter to add support for YouTube cross posting because that is
the main feature that is missing for me
you can still embed the YouTube videos and get the traffic boost so
why not?
Some of my most popular vids on YouTube are stickam live vids

Oh and I would like to see some more accurate stats because it seems like the stats are drastically off!

i hope you’re using public twitter api and didn’t team up with twitter and create a new login protocol without rate limiting :p

When I want to tweet, I go to Twitter. When I want to go live, I go to Stickam. I have no intention of combining the two. I might post a tweet that I am live on Stickam, but that is it.

Its a nice addition to include this Twitter Chat. It was one of the things I liked about BlogTV.
I do want Private back though.. I do hope your not following BlogTV’s route there aswell and are planning to re-enable it later on down the line.. but only to people who pay a subscription fee.

This is not necessary because it is not even real time. It just sends a tweet which you don’t want cuz it floods our twitter page with messages that our twitter friends don’t care about. You should just give users an option to join the chat with our twitter log in and give the users a twitter tag as they chat with us live. And not to include it on the twitter page as we respond to their chat messages. A one-time tweet saying that we are live is good enough.
Thanks.

You guys need to stop complaining about the lack of private feature the only people who want it are the people who want to do dirty and disgusting things with girls on cam and this ISNT a porn site so get lost if thats what you are here for
