Relive memories from classic TV game show “The Match Game” this weekend on Stickam
If you’re a regular on Stickam, you probably know Dick DeBartolo as “The Giz Wiz” from Leo Laporte’s TWiT Live shows. What you might not know is that Dick was also one of the main writers for classic game show The Match Game for over 20 years. Heck, Dick’s the guy who invented Dumb Dora and Ugly Edna, as in “Dumb Doris is so dumb when the doctor told her she had a tapeworm in her stomach, to get rid of the worm she swallowed a _____” and “The army just drafted Ugly Edna; they use her face as a ______.”
Join Dick live this Saturday night, 11/19, at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for an evening of “Match Game Memories.” Dick will be sharing clips and anecdotes and taking questions from game show afficianados, all to celebrate the life of the late, great Gene Rayburn. Rayburn, who hosted Match Game, passed away on November 29, 1999.
