Adobe Flash 11.2 Bug

There’s been reports filed with Adobe regarding some webcam issues and some audio distortion/echoing effect with Adobe Flash 11.2.

More can be read about those issues here:

What can I do about it?

Please try downgrading your Adobe Flash to version 11.1. In order to do so please read below:

Here are the steps required to install the previous version

1. Uninstall Flash Player using the stand alone uninstaller using these instructions
2. Download the previous version of Flash Player here: Flash Player 11.1.102.63
Note: This downloads a .zip file that contains all of the different releases of Flash Player for that version (ie. Windows, Mac, etc.)
3. Extract the contents of this zip file
4. Depending on your operating system and browser, go into either the 64 or 32 bit folders (do not use the debug folder) then double click the following filename to start the installation:

Internet Explorer for Windows 7 64-bit: flashplayer11_1r102_63_winax_64bit.exe
Other browsers for Windows 7 64-bit: flashplayer11_1r102_63_win_64bit.exe
Internet Explorer for all Windows 32-bit systems: flashplayer11_1r102_63_win_32bit.exe
Other browsers for all Windows 32-bit systems: flashplayer11_1r102_63_winax_32bit.exe
Mac OSX: flashplayer11_1r102_64_mac.dmg

Instructions above by Chris Campbell, Adobe Employee

We’ve removed the option to adjust your audio when starting a broadcast (Only affects users using Adobe Flash 11.2).  However, you’ll be able to adjust your audio with the audio slider once you are live.  It is located next to the the “Mute All” button.  Flash version 11.1, 11.3, or any other version are not affected by this audio slider workaround.

Allstar Weekend Presents THE WEEKEND SHOW!

Stickam has a new weekly show that all of us here are prrrrretty excited about.  It’s called THE WEEKEND SHOW and it streams live every, um, WEDNESDAY!    Okay yes, that is a little confusing.  But, you see, this show comes from the ALLSTAR WEEKEND guys.  Specifically, the show is hosted by Allstar bassist Cameron Quiseng and touring guitarist Brent Schneider.  Allstar Weekend vocialist Zach Porter and drummer Michael Martinez are currently off on assignment but will be joining the show occasionally via live remote and, later, live in person.

Cameron describes the show thusly:

Do you like gangster rap music? Do you like Cupcake Wars? Well then you really aren’t going to like this show. Here on “The Weekend Show” we like to keep it as real as the Housewives of Atlanta. Let’s just say things get a little freaky from time to time. It’s like The View meets Regis and Kelly meets PeeWee’s Playhouse meets Extreme Couponing. We discuss the weeks hottest topics and put our own spin on it. When we’re not making millions from this show, we’re on the road under the alias name ALLSTAR WEEKEND.

Tune in every Wednesday at 6 PM PT (9 PM ET) at http://stickam.com/allstarweekend
